Newfane writeup

Not to jinx it, but maybe I’m finally getting around to the concert writeup catch-up I’ve been professing I’m about to do since about forever.

The Newfane writeup includes background on resident collaborator Dan DeWalt’s central role in the 2006 campaign to pass local resolutions to impeach President Bush for attacking Iraq under false pretenses, against the grim background of the present imminent illegal attack on Iraq. All so directly tied to energy and climate. There are glimmers of hope on the renewable energy front, but on top of all the other horrors of the current warmongering, it is crushing how the U.S. regime is repeating the mistake Reagan made with his unilateral surrender in the just war Jimmy Carter had declared on fossil fuel dependency.

Ah well. It was a lovely concert anyway, with a warm audience and handsome space and nice piano.
